Original- Battle of the In-between

Battle of the In-between is an experimental piece with soft pastels on black paper. Like much of my work it touches on the concept of duality, only this time color is used to reflect this contrast of self. The hooded figures face away from the center as a lone individual marches up the strained path they have created towards the light. Upon close inspection the individual is holding a sword representing strength and courage. Inner work is not easy, even for those prone to inward reflection. This piece is a statement of triumph.
